Our Story

Born from a Vision of Humanity

Daanveer Foundation was established in 2019 by Ms. Ankita Awasthi, who is also popularly known as Ankita Pandit. The foundation is actively involved in a wide range of social welfare initiatives, including organ donation awareness campaigns, blood donation drives, providing quality education to underprivileged children, organizing mass marriage programs, and promoting environmental sustainability through tree plantation activities.

The name "Daanveer" — meaning "hero of giving" — reflects the foundation's core belief: that giving is the highest form of courage. Every program, every initiative and every volunteer hour is an act of daan (giving) — be it blood, knowledge, time or care.

Driven by a strong belief in the power of community service, Ankita Awasthi founded Daanveer Foundation along with a group of dedicated volunteers, with the mission of serving underprivileged and vulnerable sections of society.

Our Founder

Ms. Ankita Awasthi

Ankita Awasthi is a writer, social entrepreneur and humanitarian based in Lucknow. Deeply committed to social service and humanitarian causes, she has also personally pledged for organ donation, reflecting her dedication to the cause she actively promotes.

Under her leadership, the foundation has conducted hundreds of blood donation camps, reached thousands of underprivileged children with free education, and built a network of over 100 active volunteers across Lucknow.

Under her leadership, Daanveer Foundation has organized numerous organ donation awareness campaigns and blood donation drives, provided educational support to thousands of underprivileged children, and actively contributed to mass marriage initiatives each year. She has established a strong network of more than 100 active volunteers across Lucknow.
